TOP 5 HEALTHY VENDING MACHINE SNACK QUESTIONS YOU ASK

October 19, 2017

Poor eating habits cost employers around £17 billion a year, or 97 million lost working days. We also know that our work colleagues and social circle significantly influence our behaviours – whether positive or negative. It therefore makes sense to introduce healthy snacking at work. Think about it briefly….if every employer made a 1% impact on employees eating habits, we would collectively save £170 million each year.

Each week we receive questions about healthy vending machines, particularly about the snacks. So, we’ve collated the top 5 questions to help you navigate all you need to know about healthy vending machine snacks!

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS REALLY HEALTHY (AND DO THEY TASTE GOOD)?

Healthy Nibbles take snacking very seriously. We are committed to helping the UK’s workforce to snack healthily. To do so, we work with industry leaders, nutritionists, food innovation specialists and public health professionals to source the widest range of healthy, delicious and affordable snacks and drinks on the market.

We commit that our range will be free from hydrogenated fats and artificial colours, flavours, preservatives and sweeteners whilst delivering products that meet a range of dietary requirements including nut free, vegan, gluten free, dairy free etc.

It goes without saying, that our snack range tastes great, after all, we don’t want people sneaking back to their old habits. Healthy Nibbles are here to encourage a healthier, tastier life!

CAN WE RECOMMEND SNACKS FOR THE HEALTHY VENDING MACHINE?

Our passion for healthy products extends to our relationship with suppliers. Working directly with food producers, over 40% of products stocked are produced by artisan brands. Through this approach, we are able to take a considered approach to our carbon footprint and introduce provenance into vending. Therefore, if you know of a great tasting, healthy snack or drink that you would like to see in our healthy vending machines, just let us know. We will review the ingredients and production processes – if it meets our criteria, it’s in!

CAN I HAVE A NUT FREE VENDING MACHINE?

Absolutely! Each healthy vending machine site has its own range of products to suit the employees. We look at dietary requirements, onsite catering options and price requirements. Currently, we have delivered nut free and vegan vending machines.

ARE THE SNACKS AND DRINKS EXPENSIVE?

Healthy Nibbles currently stock over 250 products, with prices ranging from 60p to £3.00. Sure, they are not as cheap as a chocolate bar, but think of the impact on productivity, absenteeism and financial loss due to unhealthy eating habits.

We also have the option for you to offer free or subsidised products for your employees.

WHAT ARE THE TOP SELLERS IN THE HEALTHY VENDING MACHINE?

Healthy Nibbles have products that you’re familiar with — we have great relationships with some of the big names in the health food business. But, we also are always looking for innovative new product trends, and we love trying snacks from the new companies out there.

Here are some of our favourites:

Doisy & Dam    Well & Truly    Biccy Boms
